Donna Marie Reiff went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, after a three-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Those of us who had the privilege of being close to Donna knew that she fought the last three years with faith, hope and dignity.
Donna was born on April 19, 1957, to James and Cathy Reiff. She attended and graduated from Esparto High School in 1975. In her 20s, Donna worked various jobs before settling in at the Cache Creek Casino for 18 years. Frequent patrons of the casino would specifically ask to sit in Donna's assigned bingo section as they enjoyed her infectious and outgoing personality.
Donna was a Christian and frequented New Life Christian Center in Madison, and West Valley Baptist Church in Woodland.
Donna is survived by her mother and stepfather, Cathy and Dave Van Zee; sister Sandy Copeland, brothers Jim Reiff, Gregg Reiff, and niece Emily Reiff.
A celebration of Donna's life will be held at her parents home, The Van Zee residence, at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1.

Donna Reiff's Remembrance was so nice for our family today. So many people did the purple thing in Donna's memory that it filled my heart for her! Donna had some great friends! Family that I haven't seen in years were there and it was good to see them. My sister's in law, Jenni & Joanie stayed after, cleaning and putting things away so Mom wouldn't have the stress of a big clean up. It was a very nice day. I could just imagine the smiles it gave my sister each time another guest arrived wearing purple in her honor! Thanks to all of you!
